The Story of Pia

Pia Gladys Perey’s inspiration for her eponymous brand comes from the strength of women. Raised by her grandparents in the Philippines, Pia was inspired from a young age watching her grandmother sew dresses and make patterns in the country town of Tagaytay while her grandfather built his business instead of retiring at the age of 60.
This early exposure to style and commerce ultimately led her to the fashion industry (a degree in Philosophy and Political Science in tow) at age 20. Before launching PGP, Pia worked as an assistant designer and later a buyer and fashion merchandiser for brands like Levi’s, Speedo, and Kashieca.
In 2006, Pia moved to Australia to volunteer at IMG’s Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week—six months later PGP was launched at that very show. Pia has since become an international fixture on the fashion scene, known for her innovative approach to creating sustainable, comfortable, and elegant pieces.
Pia is a mother of four and now based in Los Angeles. She sits on the board of the ASEAN MSME Trade Coalition and the Single Moms Planet.
